Dessert wine at Thai restaurant in Helsinki 2023 — 3 years ago
Garnet to pink rim, clear and bright. Soft fragrant rose petals, baked cherry vanilla biscuit, closing out with a hint of licorice. Some nuttiness on the palate, with persistent alcohol-warmed cherries midway. Tart and grippy tannic finish. More bottle life awaits. Very very enjoyable, bringing back memories of La Morra last summer. Looking forward to our return to Piedmont!

Apparently not a great vintage for Barolo and it showed, albeit from one of my favorite producers. — 6 months ago
Quite dense crimson in colour with a tawny rim. Balsamic notes with cherry and a leathery note. Unusual production technique for Barolo using French Barriques for oak maturation. An excellent red but not particularly Barolo, although the oak has largely integrated after 15 years. One of the 1001 Wines. I have Delectable notes of this Cuvée from the 2008 vintage. — 8 months ago
Waited 2 hours and tasted.tight. 2 more hours opened up but still quite tannic but delicious cherry tobacco. Some tar. Nice. Somewhat complex but felt needed more time but delicious as is. — 6 years ago

Bright brambly blueberry and licorice nose, dusty tannins, shroom chocolate with freeze dried raspberries, addictive acidity 🤑 — a year ago
Big, dense, dry. I liked it but a little told dry. Worked with a meat based pasta that had some sweetness to it. — 6 years ago

Barbera Nebbiolo blend. Very mouth coating, plum, still quite a bit of tannin. Not as giving as the CdP we had alongside. — 6 months ago
