This is the first important label from donnafugata, first release dates back to the 80s i reckon
It falls short, it isn't bad,but i reckon this would be in a wine shop 180/200 dollars

Cepparello Estate Bottled Toscana Sangiovese 2006

Tasted over 6 hours. Classic. One of the better Cepparello I have had, particularly with age. Classic Sangiovese with tart cherry, some plum, mint, and tertiary tobacco, with some floral and leather. Perfect acidity, mouthwatering, but the tannin could be a little more polished as they are a bit chewy and chalky at the moment. Med/med+ body, with a med+ finish. La Mouline Côte-Rôtie Syrah

First thought is that I lack the vocabulary for this one, as alas, don’t get to try these legends too often. Nose leads with pure smoked meat, cherry-licorice liqueur (without the alcohol whiff) and something I can only call “magical spice concoction” Palate hits first the side with acid freshness (hello! Where did you come from?) then unwinds the long and complex licorice and boysenberry melange that is already approachable with with enough sandiness in the tannins to show higher promise in the future. Texture hits with smoky bacon fat and carried everything for 30 seconds plus — 2 days ago

Cepparello Toscana Sangiovese 2015

Garnet transparent. Oak. Cherry, raisin, leather, spices, licorice. Tannic, acidic at initial. One hour, getting smoother. But lots of tannin. 2nd day, much better!! 3rd day, tannin is better than before. 4th day, still good. Quite robust and powerful. It should be good 10 years later to wait for tannins’ melt.
