Reserve Ürziger Würzgarten Alte Reben Dry Riesling 2015

@Delectable Wine this is the Dr Loosen Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Fischerei GG. Not a wine that overwhelms you on the nose, but very complex on the palate. Bitter grapefruit pithe on the front, follows by quince and a lingering vanilla note. Mineral ll the while. More of a thinking wine than a chugger (if you know what I mean). — 9 days ago

Dr. L Mosel Riesling 2020

Are there better rieslings out there? Sure. But you'd be hard-pressed to find a better one under $10. Dr. L is always solid and balanced. Yes, it is on the sweet side (the 8.5% ABV reminds us of that), but there is a flinty minerality present that helps maintain equilibrium. 100% Riesling. 1/16/22. — 20 days ago

Cliff Edge Shiraz 2017

Consistent with previous notes earlier this year and also in 2020. Pepper and spice with plum and sour cherry. Riper notes than usual with this Cuvée. One of my favourites for around $30 in Australia. — a month ago

Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

This is the ultimate #FridayCabernetfix day, isn't it? #HappyNewYear

This is a beautiful Double Magnum from Napa Valley.

Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity.

Showing black fruits with tobacco, cedar, vanilla, licorice, peppercorn, chocolates, coffee and light earth.

Long finish with firm tannins.

Rich and bold with a nice mouthfeel. Still young, but already delicious.

This 6 year old, from the 2015 vintage, is extracted and in your face kind of wine, that needs at least 15 years in the bottle. Showing great complexity already, with a great mouthfeel.

Robert Parker 94 points.

Good right out of the bottle and better with airtime, which I did not have. This double Magnum finished so quickly.

A really nice wine to have all by itself.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were aged in 100% new oak barrels. A small production of only 175 cases.

15.1% alcohol by volume.

95 points.

$800.

Erdener Treppchen Alte Reben Dry Riesling 2019

Wow delicious. I

Perfect crunchy sweet green apple fruit. Amazingly fresh. As this opens more vinous. I

Nice fine minerality on the finish.

On open not super complex. But Delicious. As it opens more vinous. Will be very good.

I paired this with a spicy Thai peanut chicken dish and it was delish! Dry with a hint of floral that complemented the spice in the dish. — an hour ago
