The Essentials 29 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

+1 hour decant(lots of chunky/fine sediment). A prodigious inky dark purplish garnet color. On the nose: dark cherry, blackberry, wet forest floor, leather, vanilla, herbaceous. Taste: silky smooth, concentrated, juicy wine with dark cherry, tobacco, cedar, graphite, and a dried herb-chocolate espresso medium finish. YUM! — 7 days ago

La Magdalena Napa Valley Cabernet Franc Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

Very fragrant, very floral. Ripe blue and black fruit, lovely silky texture. Hints of mint, baking spices, leather, pipe tobacco. Absolutely gorgeous wine, drinking perfectly now. — 2 months ago

We drank this 3 months ago - absolutely no change. At $60 this is a criminal value as it presents at twice the price. — 2 months ago

Cappella Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2019

Rich and perfumed. This has a ton of weight and depth. Dark opaque purple in color. Acidity is a bit high but it helps on the length. Early on the drink range but I was too curious. I think this will be even more special in several years to ten years from now. — 14 days ago

Arguably our favorite US cab. A little more relaxed on the nose and palate. While still very enjoyable, I felt this has begun its decent. It’s subtle, even though the fruits and wood treatment are still evident, alcohol plays a much more prominent role. I need to try the same vintage once more, but I’m thinking that these wines may not have longevity beyond seven or so years. — 3 months ago
