The Essentials 29 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

Magnum. Was really good. Well balanced dark fruit with terroir. Solid depth and impressive finish. Went great with my burger.

2011 vintage. Light-medium body with above average complexity in both the nose and flavors. Über-feminine style. Tannins definitely resolved. This is ready to go. 06.11.25.

Magnum. Rustic cherry fruit and tannins. Not much depth and too thin for me. Not bad but not my style.

1 hour decant (fine/cloudy sediment). A wondrous dark purplish garnet color. On the nose: dark fruit, pine, minty vanilla, coffee. Taste: smooth, velvety, balanced, structured medium plus body wine with black fruit, chocolate, cedar, pepper, oak, and a minerally cherry medium plus finish. Another winner in what was suppose to be an iffy vintage for Napa. Making for a great Saturday night!
