Arbois Pupillin Poulsard 2018

Might be the best red B&H I ever had. This cuvée from young vines is called en Aspis 4ème feuille. Lots of red berries and high energy. — 4 months ago

Fruit blast with nice acidity. Really liking the level of alcohol the Grenache brings — 7 months ago

If you’re sleeping on wines from Irancy, it’s time to wake up. Irancy servers up wines of character. Fairly complex wines that are so easy to drink. Cherries of all persuasions, black raspberry, rhubarb, along with baking spices, nice acidity and structure make this wine worth exploring. — 2 years ago

Vieilles Vignes Pouilly-Fuissé Chardonnay 2021

The nose just gives off a brightness that reminds me of wines from the late 70s and early 89s from the Maconnais but that seems rare these days. Buckets of crisp apple and white peach, a little straw, wet clay-like minerality. Deeply flavored in the mouth, with an initial whack of fruit before low-toned mineral earth notes take over. Bright acids to propel the whole thing along. Really nice! — 6 months ago

Love the glass!

Unidentified

Very reductive and bretty at first, but luckily aired out pretty quickly. The aromas are just intoxicating, so much going on with lemon, curry and clear signs of old barrels. Sky high acidity. Finish is long. Despite the long maceration, I don’t find it to be tannic at all, only the colour suggests there would have been some tampering with the skins. Strikingly fresh, grilled lemons, hazelnuts, a bit of hay. Should have an interesting future for the next five years, perhaps. — 7 months ago
