Nose is gorgeous cherry lipstick As this opens almost this Burgundian Muskiness. Oh. My. May be fucktastic. ... yes it will be.
Palate is fresh cherry fruit. So juicy. Mineral. Dense. Cherry extract. $500 cherry liquor.
Much more classically burgundy than his other wines.
Needs 18 months. Will be very good.

Gorgeous nose of mid season cherries, huge stoney minerality, cherry flower and licorice. Really elegant and ethereal. Stunning depth and sweetness and unreal clarity to the fruit. Dense and structured but also elegant and sappy. Wow. This is a true wow wine. Amazing fruit presence. After air nose gets crazy floral with roses and violets. Terrific concentration, structure and density allied with freshness. This is outrageous. Wow. Totally crazy, long finish. Genius wine. The nose gets crazier and crazier as it opens. More layered and more detailed. OMG this is so juicy and complex. Beautiful tannins. Almost a 9.6. I think it is one now but I’m only 99.5% sure. What a wine. — 6 months ago
Should’ve drank it 5 years ago...but amazing!
Birth year wine for my bday! — 8 months ago
Oh so wonderful and so so classic. Stony nose. Like mega stones. Gorgeous mid season cherry. Hint of licorice. Lipstick like intensity. Haunting, ethereal. So good. Palate has just amazing fruit but needs 2 hours to get there. Unreal fruit soak, so fresh, such lift, velvety and sweet tannins. Terrific persistence and complexity. Needs a decade to get really Rugiens but so so fine. — 4 months ago
Superb tiny berry fruit intensity on a slab of stones. Superb mineral perfume. Beautiful mashed dark and light red flowers. Stunningly elegant and precise. Dizzying. I love Volnay. Palate is structured and so deep and initially a bit closed. Complex, stoney, sappy and superbly concentrated. Fruit is there but has a major mineral grip on it like so many 18 1er Crus at this early stage. Clean, compact and precise but really in need of 5 years. Now while 17 was wide open young this will not be. But what a wine. Amazing palate presence. Incredible fruit. — 8 months ago
Bouche délicate et mure
Finale revigorante et énergique — 25 days ago
Blind I would not have guessed pommard. Much more on the elegant side. This really needed 60-90 minutes for the palate to come around. Then it was brilliant.
Nose was intensely floral and perfumed off the bat. Beautiful.
Palate was so silky and refined.
A crazy value for village pommard. Even with tariffs.

The aromatics are of lemon zest, some butter, a touch smokey and flinty and some ripe orchard fruit. Good acidity but dominated slightly by a certain richness and ripeness, a little more then usual and probably due to the warmer vintage. Nice, but not the better Droin bottle I had. 89-90
— 6 months ago
Love this vineyard. First time from Rebourgeon. Sick nose. Pastille like cherries with gorgeous minerality. Awesome spice and wafting clean minerality. Incredible nose. Haunting and lifted. Palate is super juicy and elegant and filled to the brim with minerals. Terrific fruit intensity. Bright red cherries, some plum, and awesome chewy but melty tannins. Terrific concentration and power with a super energetic mid palate that leads into a very long finish slathered in minerals. Awesome finesse and Inner mouth aromas. An inner mouth confectionary aroma as well. So killer. This has superb structure and will last 10–15 years and needs 3-5 but can be drunk young. Really persistent. — 8 months ago
