L'Hermitage Blanc Marsanne Roussanne 2018

Wonderfully complex lingering and nuanced. This was simply a gem. Balanced rollercaoster of Rhône sophistication. Excellent! — 15 days ago

Les Champs Claude Santenay Pinot Noir 2018

Notes of raspberry, cranberry and rose water finish. Balanced tannins, has enough backbone to pair with hamachi tuna and black truffle pork dumplings, among other items. A Chef Wolfgang Puck restaurant — 5 months ago

Better than the 20 for my palate, with a bit of freshness, but still not my cuppa — 4 days ago

Saint-Joseph Syrah 2015

In a nice place at shade under 10 years. Popped and poured and was surprisingly ready to go, though 30 mins in the glass helped for sure. Nice mouthfeel and density. Tannins are there but very well integrated. Good dark berry fruit and some pepper on the long finish. Delicious with steak and a pork chop at The Grill. — 3 months ago

J.L. Chave Sélection Hermitage Blanche Marsanne Roussanne 2017

2017 enjoyed 10/7/2023. nose: caramelized pineapple, wavering between oxidative and candied. wiffs of fresh floral pass quickly, stony/mineral undertone. palate: medium body, oily viscosity, high acid and mineral leave my tongue tingling. gorgeous. glad that I opened. — 9 months ago

Love these wines.

Domaine Pignard Beaujolais Gamay 2020

Medium ruby in color; cherry jolly ranchers, violets, and something fruity or floral I can't quite place; high acidity; medium minus tannins; tastes like pomegranates, bananas, and clay pots with a long finish. Nellie doesn't like it, but think she's just not a fan of gamay. I like it and so does Bri. Bri says it smells like Swedish Fish. — 19 days ago

Hermitage White Rhone Blend 2020

Tightly wound nose, lots of beeswax, white florals and some stone fruit, rounded by oak. Palate in unfortunately alcohol-first (I guessed 14.5 but it’s 15!) but layers of texture. Good bit hot, more pedigree than magic — 7 months ago
