Clos des Hâtes Santenay Pinot Noir 2015

2021/2/6-7 with grilled beef filet, rigatoni alla gricia and grilled cabbage salad. This was a nice country Burgundy - no new oak is used (or at least that was the case for other recent vintages), leaving cherry, strawberry and pomegranate fruit. It’s light and open-knit and on the right side of herbaceous. — a month ago

Grand Cru Winzenberg Pinot Gris 2017

A nice surprise! Aromas of honey, floral, and pear. Taste of butter and pear with just a very slight sweetness. Smooth and velvety. — 18 days ago

Lilyale Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Champagne Chardonnay 1650

Lovely champagne, fruity and brioche tones. Has multiple layers in the mouth, yeasty, ripe mangoes. Dry on the palate. No surprise considering it has 0 dosage. — 21 days ago

Château Villemaurine

St. Émilion Grand Cru Classé Red Bordeaux Blend 2018

2018 vintage. Owned by Belgian Justin Onclin, consulted by Hubert de Boüard. A spectacular effort. A blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. Classy nose with ripe red fruit, flowers and subtle cedar wood. Concentrated and very elegant, impressive depth, beautifully balanced with perfectly integrated alcohol (abv. 15 %) and a knock-out finish. Definitely up to Premier Grand Cru level. Highly recommended. — 6 days ago
