Served with dinner on a Viking River cruise. Smooth light and free as in came with dinner. Enjoyed it but will not be seeking it out — 3 years ago
2018 opened Xmas Eve 2024. This wine has some weaknesses, but it’s still a pleasant tipple. Heavy tobacco on the nose. Sour cherries on the front. Medium light tannic structure. Cabernet on top of a calcaire backbone gives this wine a softer texture on the mid palate — but it doesn’t fully override the initial sour fruit. The long mineral finish that explodes after swallowing is what makes this wine shine. If you’ve got the 2018, drink it now. I don’t think it will develop any further. — a month ago
This bottle gushes out flavors like a Viking gushes blood on a battlefield.
Dark sanguine hues set the tone for iron rich aromas featuring tar, bacon grease, dark chocolate and old leather. As it opens up there are some pomegranate and vanilla cola flavors to compliment pepper, espresso, and blood. Big structure but still smooth.
Heavy metal Syrah right here.
Thank you @Mason Balistreri, you are missed. This one is for you. — 2 years ago

Vintage 1989 | for me an obscure domaine, it caught my attention at an auction. I do love ripened Chenin Blanc, which sometimes seems immortal. So I thought: give it a try. The wine was sent from France. Lovely ripened colour, old gold. Shy smell, good taste that combines honey and bitters. The cuvée is ‘moelleux’ but very good balance with the acids. Paired good with rilettes and pheasant pâté. — 3 days ago
