Still a fave. — 5 months ago
I know that this should be aged some time but had my brother in law visiting and he is a SB fan. Pulled this out of the cellar for him. Typical SB profile, balanced and a nice round creamy moutfeel. But other than that: I didn't taste the difference between this and a 15€ supermarket sauvignon blanc. Supposedly this is the top of Sancerre.... Maybe complexity will develop in a couple of years time but for now underwhelmed 🫣 — 6 months ago
Aromas of soft citrus and peach with hints of minerals. Crisp acidity, good with roasted carrots, potatoes and chicken. Clean refreshing finish and a good value. — a month ago
The 2022 Sancerre Rouge is a gently styled, savory Pinot Noir with creamy red fruit and spice. It's light to medium-bodied with a richness of fruit on the mid-palate and succulent tannins. The 2022 is satisfying even at this early stage. (Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous, August 2024)

Wow, I loved this wine. It evolved from nose, to approach, to mid-palette to a lovely long finish. There was a vibrant tension between the fruit and the acidity and the limestone underneath it all. And, basically, yum. — 2 months ago
The 2022 Monts Damnés is a wine whose qualities you might miss because its texture is so fine. It is calm, tender and elegant. It's not fruity but savory with a pure, clear, chalky style. A little tense at the moment, this wine could be approached but will benefit from another year in bottle - or many more. (Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous, August 2024)

Above average but maybe not the #1 choice at $80 a bottle. Lots of green and yellow pear. Limestone. Pairs great with oysters. — 23 days ago
