Clear and bright, Pale garnet color. No sediment, even legs.
Clean nose, medium intense aromas: Baked strawberry, cherry, black pepper, Smoke, mushrooms, wet earth, wet leaves, eucalyptus, tobacco. Fully developed.
The wine is dry, high acidity, medium body, medium alcohol, medium tannins. Medium intense flavor : Cooked strawberry, Sour cherry, black tea, wet leaves, coffee, tobacco.
Finish is medium.
Good wine.
Drink now, has potential.

Vibrant Ruby with aromas dark berry fruits floral and spice aromas. On the palate cherry, currant and raspberry flavors with some fresh cinnamon spice and tea notes. Vibrant acidity, elegant fine tannins, well balanced just starting to wake up, long finish ending with slight earthy notes, plenty of depth, will continue to develop. The bottling by Au Pied du Mont Chauve.
Vibrant, glass clinging purple red. Abundant nose of ripe black cherries in a wooden bowl. Belies the medium full palate, which is a complex melange of juicy black cherry, red apple, plum, and ripe blueberry all supported by bright medium plus acidity and firm (medium plus) tannins. Young but still satisfying, you'll get quite a bit from this Beaune. Should develop well through 2032 or so. — 10 months ago

Terroir and transparency reign supreme here. I would have not been able to tell this was 25 years old at all. Energy fully intact. Actually a great representation of Beaune 1er Cru that can at least be a great accompaniment at the table and stood up for a solid 48 hours opening more as time went on and never lost its gusto. No blockbuster but absolutely worthy. — 4 years ago
