Dark fruit, concentrated, structured, more stewed fruits than fresh. Long finish. Should hold up for many years. — a month ago

Picked up a split of this because all my .375 empties got accidentally thrown out (I use them to store unfinished bottles in the fridge). So I was mostly after the bottle itself but what’s inside happens to be superb—lime, apple and floral notes with fine but not hard edged limestone mineral character, softened perhaps by the clay component of the terroir. I Sancerre-ly enjoyed it! — 3 months ago
A fine, well-structured, classy-style wine that matures in oak barrels, pleasantly blended with the fruit and the terroir. Very beautiful Cahors.
Beau vin de garde charpenté style classieux avec son élevage en fût de chêne, agréablement mêlé au fruit et terroir. Très beau Cahors. — 24 days ago
Outrageous nose of cassis, leather, fresh leather in a car, also carpet sample and a hint of barnyard that only adds to the complexity. Nose is full and expansive. Palate is big, ripe and energetic. Lovely purity and freshness. Palate seems closed at the moment but it is all there. Wonderful wine and a Fronsac Vin de Garde. Dominated by structure at the moment. Velvety tannins and some toothsome tannins and the fruit is so young it comes across as a skoche acrid but it’s all there and just needs air. 9.2 for now. I’ll be back. As it airs it gets sappier and deeper. This is a 9.3 now. The clarity combined with the structure is something. — a month ago
