The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes from Christian Clerget is stunning. It bursts from the glass with alluring aromas of wild roses, violets, red and black cherries, red plums, cranberries, raspberries, wood smoke and a dash of cardamon. Medium to full-bodied, the silky tannins and lively acids give this elegant wine a seamless profile. Drink now until 2040. — 2 months ago
World class … baby-butt smooth at 55 years old. I’m speechless… gob-stopped…struck dumb…just a drop of good spring water to splash the tart-apple nose straight up your nostril. Pie spice, cinnamon, tobacco- pouch, dark brown sugar… then a blast of rounded alcohol that threatens to leave you breathless before it blasts its way to the back of your throat. Plenty of weight, oceans of complexity, and long, smooth ribbons of chocolate crusted caramels. Simply wonderful on this early winter evening.,, — 3 months ago

Interesting wine. Apple and cut grass. There is a slight oxidised note on the palate. Quite mealy and a bit of a yeast note on the end. Great food wine. — 2 months ago
Notes of green apple, fresh cream, and that characteristic Kimmeridgian chalk that makes Chablis unique. Those flavors carry over into the mouth which has a perfect balance of light creaminess, acidity, and fruit. Bit of fresh-cut pineapple on the tongue. Very long, exquisite finish. — 17 days ago

From mag. The additional bottle age, interestingly, didn’t seem to make much of a difference. Still typically fresh, fruity, gulpable; sour cherry, pepper, and a yeasty almost lambic finish — 8 days ago
