Enjoyed the 2015 after 5 years to celebrate a baby! deep and dark cherry notes. Sipping alone then with food worked. β a month ago
Pale garnet in color, this wine presents pronounced aromas of macerated cherries, with subtle hints of menthol and dry earth. I did not notice any floral notes.
On the palate, the wine confirms the nose, displaying medium-plus tannins and medium acidity, with a medium finish.
I believe this wine could benefit from a couple more years of aging in the cellar, although I really enjoyed it. I look forward to trying it again in 2027 or 2028. β 3 months ago
Chefs kiss. Smooth, balanced and complex. Not ur everyday vermentino (at least my everyday vermentino) β 5 years ago
2015: Rich, generous CC Gran Selezione drinking very well now. I wouldnβt mistake it for the top Brunellos but good fruit and quality viscosity set it apart from the better Riservas. Touches of tar and leather give it a good dose of complexity. $45? At WL. β 2 years ago

A solid Chianti Classico to go with a mess of broccoli rabe and homemade salchicia with pasta. Comfort! Not the most complex, but loads of dark, sour cherry fruit, a balsamic note, and a bit of crushed gravel. Good intensity and balance in the mouth. Not the lengthiest but satisfying!
UPDATED: After two nights under a vacuum closure, itβs much deeper and more complete. Upping initial 8.9 score to 9.1, on the condition that, if drunk before 2027, it needs to be opened for a while before it struts its stuff. β 9 days ago
