2015 is surprisingly restrained and muted in the early going, really taking a while to show aromatic presence. Delicate rose bouquet, faint layers of tobacco, spice and decaying autumn leaves in the background. But on the palate it is showing the texture of pure silk, with seamless structure and impossibly smooth contours. Gentle tannic grip and very deceptive concentration. Needs bottle time for flavor development, but already a pleasure to drink for its purity, finesse and elegance.

After decanting it and giving it 2 hours, the 2015 Dievole Chianti Classico opens up nicely.
Cherry aroma, mild fruit on the palate and an elegant finish.
