La Boudriotte Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay 2020

2024/8/10. I suppose the awesome meal may have affected my judgement, but this seemed like what you hope for in a Chassagne 1er - not overly effusive, but broad, savory, earthy, a good balance of fruit, mineral and toast — 3 months ago

Vieilles Vignes Chignin Jacquère 2017

I don’t know if it’s the five years of age, but it was short in the mouth despite promising beginnings. The nose was absolutely lovely. — 3 years ago

Vieilles Vignes Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Last bottle of the ‘18. It’s pretty much at its peak. Intense limestoney minerality balanced by just enough ripe fruit green apple/citrus pith fruit. A very subtle green herbal note in the background. Round-textured in the mouth initially, u til the intense minerality puts on its geology show-and-tell. Nice acids. A pleasant mouthful of rocks, basically. — 6 months ago

Silex Pouilly-Fumé Sauvignon Blanc 2019

Delectable Wine
9.3

The 2019 Pouilly Fumé Silex shows an initial tenderness, sitting quietly and not shouting that it's made it into your glass. This is a wine that has its act together, feeling integrated and balanced with plentiful concentration and a savory long finish. A delicate dill note, which is a characteristic of oaked Sauvignon peeks out amid the hush. (Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous, August 2022)

Buisson Renard Pouilly- Fumé Sauvignon Blanc 2020

All about texture. Viscous and luscious, very shy in the nose but pristine in the harmony between tight yet ripe herbal character, minerality and nutty bitterness. Long finish. Needs time to develop intensity — 3 months ago
