After hearing of Arnaldo’s passing today, we decided to have a bottle of the 25th anniversary bottle. This is really a great wine for such a difficult grape…a masterpiece. Dark ruby red with aromas of dark cherry, blueberry, plum, tobacco, and stew fruits. On the bud, it luscious and smooth. The tannins are present, but just right. The finish is long. Cherry, licorice, and stewed fruit flavor. — 7 months ago
You and Liz liked this one quite a bit. Soft and light, then a nice mouth feel of tannins. Fruit but not too much. — 6 years ago
Lightly sweet with peach and orange blossom and a touch of anise. — 5 months ago

Tbh, I didn’t know Chardonnays could be sweet previously. I always thought Chardonnays tasted like butter (they do). But this tastes like SWEET butter. Purr. Enough said. — 4 years ago

Noooo,,,,Understated - very much easy sipping and still enjoyable. Light sweetness on back need. Beautiful golden color. Peach and possibly another stone fruit. Sweet fragrance. Very easy go to. Wonderful for dessert - not too sweet and not dry. — 5 years ago
Somewhere between an off-dry oloroso sherry and a dry Madeira, with loads of spiced stewed fruit and toasted walnut on the palate. Drier profile than expected on account of its great acidity and touch of balancing bitter tannin. Exquisite, long, oxidative finish. Paired wonderfully with lemon tumeric pound cake. — 6 years ago
Takes 2 hours to open up but then cherry and soft tannins. — 7 years ago
