Carmine gave us just what we asked for: a lighter to medium body red with low tannins and mild earth. This fit the ticket perfectly- a delicious French wine in an Italian restaurant! — 8 years ago

Great Cab Franc from Lombardia from a winemaker known for its sparkling wine. Drunk with Delphine, Laeti and Xavier + Carly — 8 years ago
A lively conversation ensued around the Jean Vesselle Bouzy Champagne Cuvée Friandise Demi-Sec Rosé, a debate centered not on this wine's formidable 32 g/l dosage, but rather it's dark crimson color, which Delphine Vesselle insists is pink. Wafting aromas of cherry clafoutis, raspberry purée, rose petals and a faint smoky edge. The attack is more delicate than I'd imagined, with red fruit at the center, carried aloft by a fine mousse and pleasant savoriness. Lot 30854 | Sample — 10 years ago
This was the 2002. Patrick Arnould's Carte d'Or takes a number of years to develop. He trades red wine to Delphine Cazals for the 50% Mesnil Chardonnay in this wine, and uses old Verzenay Pinot from his estate for the other half. It takes a while for these top quality ingredients to marry in the bottle, but if you can wait the aged wine is as good as anything. Dégusté chez Charles (Simone) avec Delphine. Très léger. Pinot gamay. Mais attention au millésime : le 2015 est raté (7/20). — 9 years ago

This plot cuvée was created jointly by Delphine and her father, Claude in 1995.
Its grapes come from the oldest vines of Clos, planted by Claude Cazals in 1957, located in Oger.
Clos are very rare in Champagne, there are only about twenty (21). Delphine Cazals owns one of the largest clos of the Côte des Blancs (3.70 Ha).
A passage in oak barrels is carried out for all vintages in order to bring subtle and delicate aromas.
Aging on slats for a minimum of 10 years in a vaulted cellar in Mesnil-sur-Oger is required to develop the full aromatic palette of this exceptional cuvée, highlighting all the complexity of the 100% Oger terroir.
A fine and elegant champagne with notes of white flowers and citrus fruits with an appreciable roundness and revealed by a minimal dosage between Extra-Brut and Brut Nature depending on the vintage.

Grand Cru fruit.
30 plus year old vines, 30 months on lees.
Whoa, mama. I love what Delphine Vesselle has been up to. Completely organic farming techniques are used. 27 acres on the property, 25 of which are Grand Cru Bouzy.

A decidedly attractive crystal gold color with magnificent fast perlage. On the nose there’s plenty of citrus aromas along with soft vanilla and a trace of oak. Delicate floral aromas and butterscotch. Terrific.
Everything that you want is right here. Everything. Still very young but ready and well developed. The 2014 vintage is looking tremendous so far and this is another example. Very, very pure and absolutely singing. 100% Chardonnay from one of the few Clos in Champagne. Bright acidity, well defined character, and sharp precision.
The attack is intense and immediate. Chalky and citrusy for days. Hot buttered brioche and orange blossom. A bit of spice on the long finish. Complex and exciting with oh so much potential. — 3 years ago
