On those nose - blackberry, plum, spice. Smokey notes, good tannin level, lingering aftertaste which is good. Pleasantly surprised. Lots of fruity flavors. Deep purple color. BLEND: 80% Cabernet Sauvignon 17% Petit Verdot 2% Petite Sirah Malbec 1%
14 months in French oak. Very good wine. Was a certain flavour (anise?) That I really liked but couldnt put my finger on it. — 6 years ago
Balanced, not too sweet. A softer cab. — 3 months ago
Bright lemon and mineral nose that follows through on the palette. Chablis like character From a lighter vintage — 4 months ago
2018 vintage. Decanted and tasted after 45 minutes and 1.25 hours. Medium/medium-heavy body. Dropped the overt weight and starting to get more chiseled. The usual fruit and spice suspects without surprises. Would love to hit this in 8-10 years. Too well-balanced currently so it will be a difficult task to accomplish. 01.16.26. — 7 months ago

It is time for some Merlot on this #MerlotThursday. Let's bring Merlot back!
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Pretty nose of black fruits with light wood, flowers and chocolate notes.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with black currants, black plums, cooked cherries, cedar, licorice, chocolates, herbs, coffee, light earth, light vegetables, spices and peppercorn.
Long finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a delicious Merlot from Spring Mountain District. Elegant and nicely balanced. Fruit forward and complex. Spicy and soft, tangy and interesting.
Still young, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly, but already drinking beautifully. Will continue to age nicely in the next 15 years.
I've had a few older vintages of this Merlot and it is very consistent.
A great sipping wine that will also pair nicely with food.
A blend of 67% Merlot and 33% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged in (50% new) French Oak barrels for 24 months. A small production of less than 9,000 bottles.
14.6% alcohol by volume.
92 points.
