Poggio de' Colli Toscana Cabernet Franc 2018

Serious leap forward compared to last bottle. Super Cab Franc where now fruit and tannic backbone are showing a great balance. Nice acidity too — 3 months ago

Cascina Corte

Superiore Pirochetta Vecchie Vigne Dogliani Dolcetto 2019

Dark red in color with a wide reddish/ brick rim.

Beautiful nose and medium plus in body.

Dry on the palate with medium acidity.

Showing light cedar, earth, herbs, chocolates, black pepper, vanilla and spices.

Medium finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a good quality wine with nice complexity and balance. Spicy and tangy. Very tasty.

Easy drinking and good by itself as a sipping wine.

Dolcetto grapes, from 60 year old vines, were aged for 15 months in French oak barrels. A small production of only 3,000 bottles.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

91 points.
