The Spur - made of BDX varieties grown in Livermore Valley - has a nose that won’t quit. Plum, blackberry and black cherry aromas are as dark as the wine’s color. Whiffs of leather, anise and mocha layer onto the fruit. The palate follows suit, with earth notes and a wonderful tannic structure and acidity to boot.

Выпито в Пересмешнике 18.10.19 с сыром Манчего. Очень фруктовое, очень нежное. 2017 год явно заслуживает более высокой оценки социума. Мое. — a month ago
This one is a bit pricy, but I love this one. Well balanced, Good with seafoods. — a month ago
Happy Halloween everyone. I stopped today and picked up a few wines for the weekend and this 2017 Goose Bay Sauvignon Blanc South Island Marlborough New Zealand is the one I have chosen to have tonight. New Zealand continues to amaze me with their Sauvignon Blanc.
On the nose are beautiful fruit notes and grapefruit leads the way and lime is right behind, white peach, nectarine rind and a nice mineral backbone.
On the palate that citrus fruit continues with lime, grapefruit, white peach, nectarine, herbs, spice and minerality.
This wine is medium bodied that has a really a good crisp, clean, fresh mouth feel and medium + acidity that leads into a long fruit mineral laden finish. I hope everyone are enjoying their Halloween just please be safe out there. Nostrovia! The 🥂🥂🥂🥂 — 13 days ago
Definitely California oak! But there is a place in my heart for wines like this. Huge dark fruit, some spice, and cream from the oak. What I like is there is acidic backbone to this guy that helps with the oak. It went well with bacon split pea soup. — 4 days ago
A stunning example of perfectly mature California Chardonnay. Deep golden color, but no trace of oxidative notes on the nose or palate. Fresh and vibrant with lots of baked apples and pears accompanied by hints of butterscotch and hazelnuts. Just lovely. — 14 days ago
