This is not your typical overripe jammy 7 Deadly Zins... I love this new wave of California Zinfandel. Crunchy black cherry, sweet plum, anise, clove, chocolate, some menthol. Tannins and acidity upfront; most importantly... dry! — 6 days ago

Drank the ‘14 and ‘15 side by side last night. 2 very different blends and as such 2 very different wines. Both good! The ‘15 nose fragrant and pleasing. The higher blend of Sangiovese softens the edges of the ‘15 vs. the ‘14. The ‘14 has very little Sangiovese and more Cab sauv. The ‘14 nose is a bit chemical. The ‘14 has more depth and nuance. The Syrah base sings through on both. — 10 days ago
Ruby with red fruit aromas and spicy herb floral notes, aged for 14 months in 35% new French oak. On the palate black raspberry and cherry flavors with herb tea and earthy tones. Firm grainy tannins, balanced acidity, nice mouthfeel, pleasant finish ending with earthy mineral character. Nice! — 13 days ago

A delicate translucent ruby in the glass with just thd tiniest amount of fizz. The nose is exceedingly pretty while also showcasing its rustic nature. Oak gets the party started on the bouquet with fresh berries and herbs joining in. A nice bit of soft spice and earth are wonderful here. This is an amazingly light and fresh Pinot with a ton of character. 14.2 but you never feel it.
Really nice structure and minerality here. Medium bodied with round tannins and moderate acidity. Plenty of restraint shown here thankfully. Silky on the tongue which leads to a palate full of generous red fruits. Cranberries, raspberries, and pomegranates lead things with more dry earth and herbs. A really nice Pinot where they made all the right choices. — 9 days ago
