A find at local grocery wine department! Happy to see this 2015! Paused at previous notes regarding heavy oak...😳

Blend of Grenache, Carignan, Syrah & Mourvedre, deep Ruby with aromas black fruits and floral notes. On the palate flavors of plum and blackberry with notes of cacao, spice and earthy notes. Medium+ finish, fine tannins, great mouthfeel (15.2 ABV), ending with fruit and earthy spice, nice! — 3 months ago
Love, love, love this white! Andy Hall Selection: “Masbon Vouvrey is one of the crown jewels in the Surdyk’s wine department – made only for Surdyk’s by one of the Loire Valley’s top producers. Customers and staff continue to see the beauty and value of this wine. It’s versatile and its popularity surges every year around the holidays – it is simply beautiful and goes with everything, particularly Thanksgiving dinner. Made from Chenin Blanc in ancient vineyards that roll along the hills beside the Loire River in central France, this wine leads with aromatic notes of light spring flowers and fresh hay. The palate is clean and fruit-driving with honeysuckle and pear notes, followed by a soft finish. It’s clean, refreshing, classically French, completely affordable, and yet always a value.

A real competitor in the cava department! Perfectly balanced apple and mineral with that natural, small producer feel. Doesn’t break the bank either! — a year ago
7330 bottles made. Slight funk, great flavor, $19-20 at Department of Wine and Beer. — 2 years ago
Fragile - I don't believe it’s pronounced frah-ghee-lay - has a big, bright nose full of big, bright red fruit. A bit of heat pokes its head through, too, owing to the 15% alcohol content. That cherry-red fruit comes through on the palate as well, with a boatload of acidity to boot. The winery notes say Fragile pairs well with lighter fare and warm, sunny days. I'd have it with pork chops in a heartbeat. — 5 years ago
decent but lacking in the fruit department. $26 — 5 years ago

Dark fruit in the nose with blueberries, blackberries and boysenberries with a hint of vanilla in the palate. Very smooth and a wonderful Grenache blend. — 13 days ago
