I used to own some 04’s-09’s that always over-delivered for around $36-$40ish. Now $80-$90. The 22 was good and showed me their quality & consistency over the many years hasn’t slipped.
Custom Lexus SUV made for tailgating, around $200K. It does sort of fly in the face of don’t drink and drive though don’t you think?

Middle of the road, not too complex, easy drinking — 3 months ago
2011 is a wet vintage for Napa, but in the capable hands of top producers, it delivers a fresher, more classically styled bottling. This Prichard Hill is a great example.
The nose offers blackcurrant, violets, and graphite, with subtle hints of cedar and dried herbs. On the palate, the wine is firmly structured, with fresh dark fruits, fine-grained tannins and bright acidity. Long mineral-driven finish. While not as deep and opulent as warmer years, it’s refined and elegant.

Blend of Cab Sauv, Cab Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot & Malbec. Deep Ruby, purple edges, youthful aromas of black fruit, spices, floral and flinty notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and black cherry with some vanilla and tobacco and herbal notes. Vivid acidity, firm tight tannins with long finish ending with a vibrant character, a bit young, should benefit from bottle aging. — a month ago

A superb aromatic 100% Chardonnay, the V. 2022 Grower Collection is entirely sourced from the Calesa Vineyard by the Petaluma Gap, situated in the coolest parts of Sonoma County where Chard ripens slowly, developing pure, vibrant flavors and ideal acidity. They grow Chards from Clones Robert Young, and Burgundian Dijons.
This particular Chard wakes up all senses with its vibrant notes of lemon meringue, some ripened lychees, and baked guava. On the palate is respectfully complex, baked stony fruits in the mid-range and the lemon and mandarine peels continue to dominate to the back-end of the tongue.
Mouthfeel overall, pleasant, savory on soft spices, creamy thanks to its 100% MLF, and enticing oak touch coming from the 35% new French oak the wine was seating on. Great price point considering the quantity produced (1,200 cases) and where it comes from. Cheers! — 2 days ago
