Very young but lots of promise. I gave this 4 hrs in the decanter before consuming. — 3 years ago

Located in Maillet, on good terroirs of Pomerol appellation, purchased around 1920 by Hermine and Joseph Dupuy. Since 1978 the two grandsons of the estate's founders, Jean-Daniel and Michel Rolland, run the estate. Ruby with garnet edges. A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Dark berry aromas and spice. On the palate blackberry and cherry flavors with toasty herb spice, fine tannins, full body on long finish ending with developing fruit, oak and spice. Great now. — 5 years ago

This was better than anticipated. Smoky, oaky, dark and brooding kind of Pomerol. Went well with a bbqed rumsteak. — 3 years ago
Exotique mais avec de la fraîcheur — 3 years ago
Sadly Jacques’s last vintage. Mondeuse, Gamay, Pinot. Beautifully natural, vibrant, supple. Brambly, black cherry, raspberry pepper, forest fruits, alpine strawberries, bright, concentrated, glugable, but nice tertiary notes of sweet tobacco, sassafras, sous bois. Very pretty and feminine. Could cozy up to this every day. 12.3% — 4 years ago
