Excellent wine! — 8 months ago
Because the champagne wasn't impressive I went into the deeper parts of my cellar to dig up a sweet wine which I knew would please the crowd. 21 year-old and kicking!
Apricot, honey, dry fruits, hasselnuts, wax, preserved orange peel, sweet bready touches too. The botrytis thing is strong! The palate is surprisingly long, easy going and fresh! It was a very hot vintage but it seems they managed to keep some freshness in the berries because the acid drive, which is massive, is balancing the sweetness of the wine so much that it's almost a palate cleanser. Apricot and honey notes all long, before a very long and fresh finish that goes on for a good 35 to 40 seconds. We need to make Sauternes a hot thing again ! — 12 days ago
50% Assyrtiko; 50% Monemvasia — 3 years ago
Some funky reduction on the nose, waxy & floral blowing away to leave salt marsh. Relatively dense for a white wine. Saline minerality, citrus pith, prominent acidity. — 3 months ago
Oak, complexity. Aged semillon La semillante de sigalas 16 @Dmar, 241007 — 3 months ago
Oeno P Tria Ampelia 2020, the first vintage from this new botique winery in Santorini, set up by Paris Sigalas, of Domaine Sigalas fame. 100% Assyrtiko from various parcels, an average vine age of 60 years. Aged in amphorae for 16 months. The typical salinity and acidity of Assyrtiko, with rounded mid-palate of citrus fruits, melon, and a medium length finish. Tasted at recently opened tasting room at the northern end of Santorini, near Oia.
Needs some age to open, lovely as it is. — 2 years ago

Vintage 2001 | Beautiful developed and great intensity. Apricot, honey, botytris in smell. Balanced sweet. Such wines will outlive me. First time we tried Sauternes with oysters. It works.
