Smooth and sweet blend with a fruity finish. Just dry enough to not be tart. Great choice for St. Patrick’s day. — 2 years ago
Blend of Mourvèdre (about 75%) and Grenache with a splash of Cinsault and Carignan in this ripe and spicy wine from one of smallest appellations in France. Deep Ruby with aromas of ripe black fruits and floral spice. On the palate flavors of plum and black currant with black pepper and herbs. Lively tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit and spice. Nice value! — 3 years ago
A typical more regional Haut-Medoc, Bordeaux blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot. Youthful with some degree of complexity, fruit-forward of plenty of dark cherry and mulberry, a bit smoky, woody and erathy, with some persistent tannins. Rich and textured mouthfeel, mid-long finish with some astringency, well-balanced and taste better with food rather than by itself. It needs to be splashed decanted for 30-45 minutes to appreciate its potential. — 7 months ago
— 4 years ago

Intense. Crushed red fruit and violets and yippee plums. I thought the intensity might tone down a bit, but even after a few hours open still is a bit daunting to drink. Not bad, but it’s definitely an experience. I had it with some basic rotisserie chicken and I’m thinking something with more fat would’ve been more appropriate for a wine like this. — 3 months ago
