Drinking so well. A great wine and a first for me. It’s got so much freshness and energy is the headline. Nose is cassis, vanilla, tobacco, spice and some hints of black fruits. Also a background of awesome minerality. A plump nose which belies what comes on the palate. It’s rich but just teeming with energy and so much black and red fruit that is super crunchy and luscious. Gorgeous clarity to the minerality and a freshness I haven’t tasted in Bordeaux maybe ever. I really like the. The finish keeps pumping. Very very impressive. It’s also so sappy on the finish and just outrageously complex. — 3 hours ago

Oh wow. I’ve only had the Intuition in a rather fatiguing Bdx tasting haha. I remember being my only relief. Haha. Energetic bdx ftw!

Domaine Sylvain Pataille

Fleur de Pinot Marsannay Pinot Noir Rosé 2020

Serious Rose. Pours clear, dark salmon color. Dried strawberry and saline aromas. Medium plus body and acidity. Wild red berries zap the back sides of your tongue, while minerals zip straight down the middle. Clean lasting finish, repeating the nose and palate, leaving your palate refreshed and ready for another sip. — a month ago

Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 2014

More medium than full bodied. Ripe currants, asphalt, liquorice, green olives, spice. Classy and well mannered compared to some recent 2014 Right Bank wines I’ve had. — 2 months ago

Fleur de l'Europe Brut Champagne

A distinct shade of medium old gold with with persistent little bubbles. The nose is resplendent with apples of the green variety. An abundance of citrus scents along with yeast and a touch of nuttiness. Just a bit of smeared honey aromas goes a long way here.

Biodynamic and beautiful. Zero dosage and aged for six years, the strength here is balance and purity. Terroir driven and electric, this is an incisive and focused champagne. Composed of 85/15 Pinot Noir/Chardonnay and wonderfully dry. Lemons and dried herbs on the palate along with cherries and apples. Long and dry and lovely.
