I love this easy drinking wine. Great flavor profile that drinks more expensive than it is. Inky, full-bodied red with aroma of black fruit, green pepper, spice and cedar. Soft on the tongue at first with a high tannic finish that balances the overall structure. Really satisfied with this easy purchase. — 4 years ago

Still nice but at the end of the line. Better a few years ago.

This is an awesome vintage for this wine. Magical nose. Just stunning. Deep red cherry fruit. A lipstick like and kirsch intensity. You can tell it was warm. But also it’s cool climate warmth though. Spice, some sweet wood, all integrated and harmonious. Just a beautiful young Jaspis. Rich, fleshy and concentrated but impeccably balanced and so delicate and fresh. This has rich wine character but also all the trappings of what makes Ziereisen Pinot so good. It’s elegant, the fruit is so pretty and intense, there’s lithe and serious structure with the finest and sweetest tannins one can imagine. This is when Godard started making color films. Same Godard but in color! This is same old Ziereisen but in 2018! As it airs a stunning floral aroma develops. The nose is magic. — 3 years ago

A beaujolais in a cru Burgundy style. My previous note still stands except that the flowery notes disappeared, and the oaky touches are more present. Cherry, hay, vanilla, oak, earthy notes too. The palate is showing a great acid drive, some nice cherry notes all along, a good grip, some width and even a mocha, oaky touch before some tannins in the rear, rather stronger than the average oak treatment you get in the region, a spherical mid palate before a long, very long finish with a drying effect, mocha, oaky notes and that superb, typical cherry and hay note I love in great gamays. I could easily see it stand its ground in a red cote de beaune village to 1er cru blind line up. — 2 months ago
