Tertre du Moulin

Cuvée Millésime Saint-Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 2019

2019. Really enjoyed this one. Believe it was the same maker of a wine I bought while in Paris. Would def buy again. — a month ago

Château La Vieille Cure

Fronsac Red Bordeaux Blend 2021

Wish I could decant this. Oak on the nose, but it hints at the fruit and tobacco/chocolate you're about to taste. Palate has noticeable but not assertive tannins and blends really nicely with the aforementioned flavors. Paired well with dinner but this feels like a pre-dinner sipper. Would buy again. — 4 months ago

Château du Tertre

Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend 2023

Château du Tertre 2023 – Margaux, Grand Cru Classé en 1855. BDX France 🇫🇷

Overview
An elegant yet youthful Margaux showing fine aromatic lift and classical structure, with slightly rustic edges that reflect its early stage of development. Built for evolution rather than immediate polish.

Aromas & Flavors
Red cherry, wild strawberry, cranberry, dried rose petal, cedarwood, light tobacco, crushed gravel, subtle savory herbs.

Mouthfeel
Medium-bodied with firm, slightly angular tannins, bright acidity, linear drive through the mid-palate, and a finish that shows youthful grip and tension rather than full polish.

Food Pairings
Herb-roasted chicken, veal chop, mushroom tart, grilled pork loin, semi-firm alpine cheeses.

Verdict
A classic, traditionally styled Margaux that will reward patience. The structure and aromatics are in place, but time is needed to soften edges and bring greater harmony and depth.

🍷 Personal Pick
Not quite ready to attack the palate as a typical Margaux yet — but the line is correct. Give this a couple years and it will smooth out beautifully.

Fronsac Merlot Cabernet Franc 2019

We had the 2019 on 2/17-18/26. An herbaceous bouquet with hints of tobacco. Tastes of blackberry, mocha, and oak. Medium bodied, Old World. Very good. — 3 months ago

Château Gaby

Grand Vin De Bordeaux 2014

Blend of Merlot (80%), Cabernet Sauvignon (10%) and Cabernet Franc (10%). Dark ruby color with a brick colored meniscus. Aromas of graphite, ripe black fruit, violets and mint. Bold blackberry/black currant/black cherry fruit flavors with additional flavors of tobacco, iron, vanilla and sweet baking spices. Well integrated toasted oak on the long and luxurious (slightly bitter) finish. Soft tannins and well integrated acidity. Aged perfectly. — 4 months ago
