Gladys Knight definitely heard it through the grapevine on this wine. Grape roundness with hints of olive oil, citrus, and saline.

Vintage 1995 - there is Coteaux du Layon that is so lovely it is overwhelming charming to the taster, and there is Coteaux du Layon where you need to fight to discover its qualities. With its 22 years this is an example of the second type. Shy smell, almonds, vanilla, spicy, not complete in balance as there are prominent bitters in taste. Also honey tones after aeration. Drank it with a ricotta cake that had beautiful citrus in it that matched well with the wine. #coteauxdulayon #cheninblanc #loire #aged beautiful golden colour. — 7 years ago
Costco Japan. 13% abv. Rose color. Pretty good! Well balanced. Depth! But with mineral and acid. It would’ve been over the peak next year. — 5 years ago

Bright polished brass in color. Spiced baked quince on the inviting nose. Echoed on the full-bodied palate which adds very ripe lemon and clover honey. Cut through with bright medium plus acidity. Moderate finish continues the palate. Classic CdL that's all set for (British or bread) puddings, fresh or baked stone fruit, or various cheeses with dried fruit on a plate. Drink now through 2040. — 7 days ago
