From a 0.39 ha parcel within the Morgeot 1er cru, this is more Meursault-like in its weight and plushness but still possesses impeccable balance. Ripe orchard fruits and lovely white floral with subtle brioche notes. Broad and polished.
The chateau was acquired by Domaine Serene in 2015. — 6 months ago
A contemporary pinot that requires some bottle age. Beautiful oak treatment on the nose and palate. Superb, textured mid-palate. Uncharacteristically fruit-forward, finishes sweet - beauty, and I don’t normally like pinots from Santenay. — 5 years ago
Gorgeous! Good minerals, walnut on the nose, racy acidity almost like a St Aubin — 7 years ago
Good Chardonnay. Everyone enjoyed it. — 8 years ago
My first experience with a French Pinot. pleasant wine, tasted similar to a solid Napa Pinot but had more earthy/mineral notes. — 9 years ago
2014. Baked apple, baking spice, caramel, subtle toast, tiny bit of an oxidation (nuts), nice acid. — 2 years ago
2016. Great nose with hints of wood and cherry. Nice deep red color. Cherry flavors with hints of vanilla. Some acidity on finish. Found it at a local wine shop! — 6 years ago

Nutty, soft with pretty golden apple and peach. — 9 years ago
My first Santenay 1er Cru, Clos Faubard borders Chassagne-Montrachet and has higher proportion of limestone than most of clay heavier soils in Santenay.
The resulting wine is more dark fruited underpinned by chalky minerals that’s reminiscent of Cote de Nuits. Raspberry, blackberry, steeped red tea, forest floor, light dried herbs, and hint of purple floral. Medium to full bodied with lively acidity and energetic mid palate. The fruits are a bit chunky on the palate, with fine rustic tannins. — 6 months ago
The story of Domaine Serene harks back to Minnesota, where Grace met the late Ken Evenstad, and the couple’s partnership in life and business first began. 💕@domaineserene
With a faith in the terroir of Willamette Valley, Oregon, this pioneering couple purchased land in the Dundee Hills AVA, establishing Domaine Serene in 1989, crafting their first vintage in 1990.🇺🇸🍇
Since then, Domaine Serene has grown, expanded, and rightfully garnered critical acclaim for producing some of the finest expressions of Pinot Noir from this region. 👏👏👏👏👏 Due to their thoughtful dry-farming and sustainable practices in the vineyard, meticulous micro-cru vinification processes, pursuit of blending, judicious use of oak, and aging prior to release, a consumer may come to expect a unique, consistent experience with a glass of this beautiful wine.🍷 In our experience, it never disappoints as a special wine to be shared during the holidays or celebratory moments. 🎉
Here is the Domaine Serene, Evenstad Reserve, Willamette Valley, Vintage 2017, ABV 14.4%. It has a strong structure, and balance, backed by high acidity, medium tannins, high alcohol, and vibrant fruit aromas such as cherry, kirsch, and blackberry. It also offers complexity in aromas and flavors with not only red / black fruit, but also violet, licorice, clove, vanilla, cola, saddle leather, nutmeg, and forest floor notes. The finish lingers.👌👌👌👌
In 2015, the Evenstads made their dream a reality by purchasing Château de la Crée in Santenay, Burgundy, France, an estate that dates back to the 15th Century. 🇫🇷 Their story is inspiring and their wines are delicious. We hope to someday visit their estates in Willamette and Santenay.
Until then we will continue to enjoy their wines and remember their story, pioneering spirit, partnership, and pursuit of excellence in their craft. Cheers! ✨✨✨ — 5 years ago

Domaine de la Crée recently purchased by Domaine Serene in Oregon. It is a monopole Clos de la Confrérie. Nice Santenay example and the 2014 is my style with pronounced acidity from a cooler vintage. Light and elegant with a “funk” that I find pleasing. Dry, slightly bitter finish. — 8 years ago
Oaks brings on a leather structure that's really unfamiliar to me with white wines. Awesome stuff — 9 years ago
Nice new world style oaked Chardonnay. Not to oaky, medium finish. — 11 years ago
