Castillon Côtes De Bordeaux Red Bordeaux Blend 2018

This Castillion Chateau was acquired by the late Denis Durantou of L'Eglise Clinet roughly 15 years ago. Just as promised it delivers excellent value. Damp earth, currants, plums, black truffle and some green notes. Very solid. Would buy again. 2019 is the last vintage Monsieur Darantou harvested. — a day ago

Côtes de Castillon Red Bordeaux Blend 2006

I don’t quite follow the Garagiste story of this vintage, but glad to have it for $20. Feels like it’s on the down slope of life, but still lovely at 12y. + short ribs = yum. — 5 years ago

Pomerol Merlot - Cabernet Franc Blend 2001

Wasn’t quite sure what to expect with this - but quite nice. Definitely late secondary at this point, not expecting any positive development. Dark red fruit, still a bit of dusty tannins, still enough acid. Nice pairing with a corned beef for St Patrick’s day. — 2 months ago
