@Norman Gennaro Very happy age brought you a positive experience. Up to now it has been my experience that Ceritas whites need time. The foundation for really good wines are there they just have to come together. I am hoping it was my note that motivated you to revisit their whites.
@Norman Gennaro If you have other bottles try to put 1 or 2 down for 10 + years.
@Ira Schwartz you were right! I have a habit of losing wines in my storage so 10+ can easily happen ;)

Porter-Bass Vineyard Chardonnay 2012
The best California Chardonnay I have consumed. I will say it, grand cru like .
Complexity on every level. Every part of what makes up a wine melded perfectly to create this classic. Fruit and acid like Fred & Ginger. Purchased on release.. While I enjoyed my other bottles several years back this was on a different level. When I tasted this on release I wrote , has everything it needs just needs to sort itself out. — 3 months ago
Tasted at Ceritas last week. Great experience! Unfortunately John R and Phoene Bass separated and he bought out her share of Ceritas. I imagine that also led to the Bass family no longer supplying Ceritas with their fruit.
On a positive note, it was wonderful to taste some older vintages of their wines and buy some library wines at reasonable markups. Highly recommend a visit!
