An impossibly deep, dark, and mature expression of honest Pinot noir. Like sage advice from an older sibling. Neither candied nor ripe nor lean. Everything it it’s confident place.
Aromas of barely tart berries and oak, iodine, dark cocoa, and smoke. 70% whole cluster. — 14 days ago
Not as well balanced as 2012. This bottle needed a little more time in the bottle to soften it a bid — 2 days ago
This is seriously good. Recommended to me by the chap at a supermarket in Christchurch. They use cork and this wine has aged beautifully. It’s something a burgundy fan will enjoy, though it reminds me more of like Ceritas. I wouldn’t mind trying this wine with even a touch more age. — 7 days ago
Floral, elegant, lithe. Beautifully perfumed. — 2 months ago
Great Pinot. Good mushroomy funk, want an entire case — 2 months ago
A special example of the delicacy that can be achieved on the Sonoma Coast when a solid picking choice is made. In the same breath, it is also an example for me of the constraints of the region. While broad and sprawling, there are really few sites suited for intriguing growing conditions for Pinot Noir, and even when done at the highest level, you can usually find higher quality at a lower price point from many known Pinot growing regions around the world. This is a qualitative peak for the AVA, and certainly worth considering. — 2 months ago
