Made a big family dinner last Sunday night, not often we get everyone around the table with travel and sports, so kicked it up another notch with a lovely wine — 7 days ago
Très bel accord avec la feijuda — 11 days ago
Really rich, deep, dark fruit. — 25 days ago
Dismissed by many as too jammy or too ripe, I’ve always thought this is the fun bottling. This ‘21 is no exception. Beneath the slightly over extracted ripe dark fruits lies quite complex aromas and flavors of figs, sweet spices, dark chocolate, smoke meat, and hint of balsamic. Rich palate but not overbearing. In a good vintage like ‘21, this can benefit for 5-8 years of bottle age.
My guilty pleasure. — 2 days ago
Don’t get the hype. Good wine. Very California, but nothing out of the ordinary. Not worth $80, worth $40 — 13 days ago
Black cherry, sage, and sandalwood aromas accompany the cherry, pomegranate, and spice palate. Medium full bodied with excellent balance. In a great spot now. — a month ago
Good right out the bottle and stayed that way for a couple of days. What a nice grape! Very underrated. Medium body with a bit of spice. Sweet with a balanced tannin. Day 2 showed more acidity which improved it further. Excellent vino. — 21 days ago
2014 drunk in 2024. I kept a bottle of this $14(!!) wine—2015 price—for 8 years on a hunch that it would hold up, and it did. I don’t know what it costs now, but back then it was head and shoulders the best American supermarket wine. — 16 days ago
