Cave Sébastien Blachon

Margariat Saint-Joseph Syrah 2019

Lyle Fass
9.7

So brilliant but man is this young, albeit less young than normal. Insane nose with the most vivid olives and complexity. So elegant and long on the palate but starts out tannins then gets less tannic and melty. Needs 5 years. — 8 months ago

Great fruit blackberries. Nose is granite and sweet fruit. Palate is blackberry and granite.

Pinot blanc...not the butteriness of a typical burgundy, but deliciously subtle - with crispy duck xxx — 3 years ago

Cuvée Isaline Saint Joseph blanc Marsanne Roussanne 2018

Lovely texture, richness without flab. Mineral nose, tropical fruit on the palate. The quenching freshness on the finish really takes this to the next level. Lovely. — 2 years ago

Morey St. Denis Pinot Noir 2016

Good herb aroma and concentration. Later on Strawberry. 3 hours, Splendid, mix fruity flavor including plum, tropical fruits. I felt the same before when I tasted grand cru in Bourgogne. 2016 @2730, Kping - , 211020-211126 — 3 years ago

Clos Fourtet Saint-Emilion 1er Grand Cru Classe Red Bordeaux Blend 2005

What an outstanding wine. 85% Merlot 15% Cab Franc. Has a ton of life left in it. Needed at least an hour decant! — 3 years ago

Big, touch oxidized, stemy reminds me of cab franc, herbs, plums, oregano, tannins fully resolved. Fades with time, drink up. — 3 years ago

Première Note Syrah

Surprisingly good, and as clearly northern Rhone syrah as any wine can be. It has the strong fruit and the floral complexity, but remains smooth on the palette and well balanced. — 4 years ago
