Another great Alto Piemonte producer that needs to be on your nebbiolo radar!
Drank over two days, this really got going on day two with the structure and typicity of Nebbiolo coming through. Day one it drank a little more primary, velvety fresh with rich red fruits, florals, and a softer feel to the texture - extremely enjoyable! Day 2 the structure of the tannin and acidity really came through, with the nose ratcheting things up with roses, currants, a touch of tar, spices and blood orange peel. Texturally it gained fortitude as well with everything perfectly integrated and in harmony.
Definitely getting more!

Very special, old sorts of grapes, little winery, wonderful winemaker who is frequently traveling to Bordeaux. Not mainstream and therefore highly recommend. — 6 years ago
Chalky lemon smell, gold yellow, acid chalk citrus, lemon, complex sugars but not too sweet, nice bitter finish with chalk — 7 years ago
2015 vintage, great Chianti Classico Reserva. Perfect balance, light bouquet full flavor but not fruity, smooth tannins, superb on the palate and edible finish. Estate bottled, among the best of the grape we've had. — 8 years ago
Feather light and deep flavors of marzipan and almond paste. - at Guille’s — 5 months ago
Lively, alive even. Prickly red fruit and herbs say hi on the nose. Elevated acid and pleasantly sandpapery tannins create a tense but energetic body that grips yet glides. More red plums and raspberries take a back seat to herbal concoctions and purple flowers. The finish goes on and on, leaning more into fruit and florals. Simply a stunner, my gosh. — 2 years ago
Great, well balanced blend. Thanksgiving bottle #1. — 4 years ago
Ruby coloration with some translucency. On the nose, cherry, vanilla, warm spices, balsamic, leather and oak. On the palate, medium to fuller bodied, cherry, strawberry, vanilla, balsamic, oak and florals, with a certain softness and richness. Medium to longer finish. Good tannins. Revisited with a meal consisting of brasoto al Chianti con pappardelle. Beautiful pairing. Brought out notes of chocolate, smokiness and molasses and brought out the fullness and richness of wine. The wine and food really elevated one another. E180 at winery. — 5 years ago

Recommended at Sessions Restaurant. Good! Dry red fruits, savory minerals, leather. Second predominantly collegiality we’ve had in a couple weeks! Will have more. — 5 years ago
Previously rated on Delectable but Delectable deleted... again they are acting bizarre...deleted not only many wine ratings but my original bio!
This is a VERY nice wine (gasp, it's that "word"...!), a very drinkable vino, great value for full flavor, balance, and flavor, balance and flavor balance. 2017 vintage. Previous rating on this wine was simply that this is an excellent Tuscan blend...still true...that does not mean equal to a a top notch Castellare or Antonori, but full flavored with perfect tannin, medium body & deep berry...very nice on the palate. Enough. — 6 years ago

375ml. Nose has crunchy black cherry fruit, and the characteristic earthiness of the region has taken on a slightly animal, feral quality in this iteration. Savory and relatively full in the mouth. A little drying and bitter at the end of the finish. — 2 months ago
