Aromas of dark cherry, slow-roasted strawberries, and balsamic continue onto the palate with flavors of prunes, dried figs, and subtle notes of autumn spice and bittersweet chocolate. Finish is long with balsamic and earthy cocoa lingering on palate. Outstanding. Has really nice freshness still, and tannins are well integrated, providing a smooth mouthfeel. Quite brown and oxidative despite perfect cork. Plummy, licorice, dark chocolate, interesting secondary flavors and good amount of tannins left. High 14.5%. In a perfect spot but at the end its life. So yes drink up. — 3 months ago

A really good chianti. Aroma is just fantastic. It puts your nose alive with fruit and earth. A smooth earthy wine with medium body. Recommend but probably not worth the price. — 9 years ago
