Color of dark ruby, a bit cloudy, and a bit brown and purple tone on the rim. Nose of wood chips, oak, strength of alcohol, spice, some smoky note, and a bit vague dark fruit. Taste is rather interesting with leafy black tea note, some cocoa, raisins, spice, juicy grapes, and low on tannins. A Syrah with interesting characters. — 8 years ago

I really like this agave Coyote. Clean citrus flavors. This is distilled in Barro (clay), which really brings a mineral flavor in the nose and especially in the mouth. Balances out the bitterness of the Mezcal which I really enjoy. June 2014 fermented date. Sola de Vega. — 8 years ago

Pale amber with frothy white that dims to fringe and crop circles. Same alar lacing. Shiny lime, dried pineapple, banana skin, and orange zest, with light aniseed scent residuals. Lemon-orange to lemon zest. Lime pith, tangerine, thyme; zesty finish that is somehow supple. Not so creamy, as a revisit to spongy; pith. .

I love this wine. I cannot stop myself from pouring another glass. I grudgingly share a taste with my husband because what I really want is to enjoy the entire bottle sola. This wine has everything I want right now: a cheery holiday warmth; a subtle background of spice; and a perfect balance between acid, fruit, and tannin. Why yes, please. Okay, sorry, onto the wine. Deep, dark purple color in the glass. Big cherry and strawberry tones on the nose. Smells like Valentines Day. The flavor is disappointing. Maybe it needs more air or age, but rather tame and average. Great texture and easy to drink, but leaves one unsatisfied at the price level. Solid wine, with nice fruit, but isn't differentiated at all from other Napa Cabs yet alone a single vineyard of the quality of Stagecoach. Have 3 more bottles so we'll see how they progress. — 9 years ago
