The holidays put us in the mood for something delicious, vibrant, and festive. Something bubbly. Tonight, to match the mood, we’re popping this gorgeous pale pink-salmon Crémant d’Alsace produced by Domaine Camille Braun.
It is a rosé from Alsace made with 100% Pinot Noir, the only permitted black grape variety in this region. It comes from organic and biodynamic vineyards in and around the Village of Orschwihr.
Domaine Camille Braun is a family-run operation with roots dating back to the 1500s. Today Christophe and Chantal – a husband and wife team – are carrying forward the family legacy by making expressive wines from the beautiful terroir of Alsace.
This wine offers bright notes of raspberry, cranberry, red apple, lemon curd, dried pink rose, toasted almond, brioche, and wet stones with fine-beaded, persistent bubbles.

Delish! Still kicking with that subtle, musky dried fruit and herbaceous tinge. Tea, soy and dried orange peel. — 8 months ago

Racy, mineral, rich and deep. Nutty, pleasing bitterness. Great qpr. — 3 months ago
Tasted blind while knowing the list of wines. Guessed only the appellation. Perfumed bouquet of strawberries, earth, bitter dark chocolate and red flowers. Nice acidity, good balance. Tannin is light, which is nice. A bit feminine and beautiful wine. I enjoyed it much more during the afterparty. IMO good value and great style.

Interesting this can be up to 96% Chardonnay. They trade Chardonnay fruit for Pinot to make this. Franck Bonville only grows Chardonnay. 5 grams dosage.
It has excellent mousse and racy acidity. Better depth than the two previous cuvées.
Strawberries, cherries, very light black raspberries, touch of orange citrus, pink grapefruit, their is a tanginess here, nice soft chalkiness & volcanics, saline, sea fossils, white spice, yeast, baguette crust, cheesecake, pink flowers/roses, excellent acidity, nicely balanced with good tension and a nicely polished finish that last a minute.
This is the youngest in the mix and most of the base wine is from 2021…a year filled with weather issues from start to finish. Don’t think you’ll see many producers make a vintage cuvée.

Delightful and round with sweet red apple and ripe pear notes. Immediately ready to please. I was shocked at its openness and lack of any hint of sharpness or bitterness or noticeable acidity. Yum and yummer…first time trying this cuvée…. Won’t be the last. — 23 days ago
