Fresh on the first day, deep fruit, a joke for the price, exceptional value for the money (8€) — a month ago
Nice pepper and current flavor. Enjoying with some cheeses and olive oil and bread. Tannins are well balanced with the fruit. I’m a big fan of Malbec so I might be biased but this is a very tasty wine. — a month ago
Deep cherry red. Chocolate nuance. Oak. Earthy. Black fruits. Trees. Vanilla. Elegancy. 9 years vintage. Mild tannin. Balanced acidity. Dry. Cahors Expression Chateau Lamartine 16 @5830, Toscan, 250126-250202 — 11 days ago
A good match with BBQ Scotch Fillet Steaks on New Year’s Eve. Mid Ruby in colour with red berry savoury, meaty aromas. A medium weight palate with some savoury richness. A bit straightforward. From the spiritual home of Malbec but not as good as Argentinian Malbec to my palate. The latter having more plummy depth and weight. . I think the altitude of the Andes has much to do with it. — a month ago

Bought this 2012 vintage when we were in Cahor in 2017. Just enjoyed it on NYE 2024. What a treat! — a month ago

Love this wine but I will admit 2020 is not as strong as other vintages. Nose is lovely with violets, dark cranberries, berry fruit and lots of smoke and minerals. Palate is lush but also had a major mineral spines Good freshness and purity but the heat of 2020 is showing in that it’s not hot but it’s also not as focused as it could be. Maybe air will help. — 18 hours ago
