Pfirschgeschmack mit einer schöner Säure. — 7 years ago
Fresh, enticing, elegant.
Nose with earthy, musky raspberries, mulberries, a touch of damson plum, and a light flowery whiff
On the palate this is silky smooth. Zero rusticity, chewy tannins or sharp acidity - so often found in Montepulciano.
This has flow, energy, good depth, nice minerality underneath the fruit. And all this with 12% alc.
This is not at all what I expected! What a delight, what a nice surprise!
Very elegant, smooth, delicious.
A brilliant example the Montepulciano can deliver great wine!
Only but - you get 2 bottles of Ziereisen’s Syrah for one of this - and blind I would not be able to tell the difference.

Loving our trip to Andermatt Suisse, here is an Italian Valpolicella Ripassa in Suisse, low tannins, cherries, blackcurrants, and a very unique USP the heaviest glass bottle I have ever come across, quite the thing. — 4 months ago
Nov 2025: fruity and with noticeable oak (well integrated), nice nose, very good aged barbera, still has potential for cellaring a few years — 8 months ago

Very tasty Barbera with some tanins, but not overwhelming. Had it with pasta and this worked very well. Usually not a big fan of Barbera, but this one stands out. — a year ago
Great local wine in Sardinia. — 4 years ago
Very very nice red from Italy
Not dry, not too sweet.
Enjoyed it a lot. — 6 years ago
Medium red color with brownish accents. Sampled over a 2+ hour decant. Massive nose of chocolate that evolves to amaretto and you can smell the 16.5 OH. Syrupy and very port like. Medium minus finish which is surprising. Always nice to try something new as this might be my first Amarone experience. Thanks MG!! — 7 years ago

2023 vintage. Medium body. This showed well at the FLB (Friday Lunch Bunch) weekly affair. Some sleekness. Some exoticism. Some mineralité. 6.26.26. — 8 days ago
