A wonderfully blended wine. Well balanced fruit and spice. A great food wine. Paired well with teriyaki. — 6 years ago

Pale Ruby with a lighter tawny rim. Possibly the lightest bodied Barolo I’ve ever tried. Herbs, Pine needles, red fruits (cherry) and menthol on the nose. The palate, even though light to medium bodied has medium plus intensity - very savoury. Napa Valley Sangiovese? Beautiful dark garnet in color. Hints of blueberries, baking spices and dried flowers on the nose. Given where these grapes come from it is not surprising that there are great flavors of dark plums, blueberries, licorice and mint on the palate. Tannins are very refined and the acidity is very mouthwatering. A hidden gem in Calistoga! — 5 years ago
Nose: stone, pepper/spice, raw steak, not much fruit given the age
Taste: cranberries, floral/ violet, great body, medium tannins, great finish

Stunning and better than most winery’s top bottlings, the 2017 ‘Willamette Valley’ Pinot Noir is another sensational wine made by one of the most underrated winemakers in North America, Brian Marcy. The nose is seductive and highly perfumed with rose petals, guava puree, cigar ash and suggestions of peat moss that all build in the glass. The wine shows off a downright sexy texture, showing a great combination of weight and minerality. Guava puree, red raspberry cordial, blood orange zest and white truffle flavors all dance on the palate. A seriously good wine, this will continue to cellar well over the next fifteen years.
