At Mini India for the first time. Really liked the food…this wasn’t the lowest cost wine on the list. We went for a mid priced wine (15.9€) and found it to be a delightful experience. Would definitely have this one again, especially at this price point. — a year ago
Praleum w SL. Smoky and mineral. Complex. Longish finish. WOTD. Shaded the 82 Margaux.
The profound 1988 Brunello di Montalcino boasts a huge nose of black-cherries and spice box aromas intermingled with scents of wood, smoke, herbs, and cedar, full body, an unctuous, voluptuous texture, great concentration, and surprisingly low acidity. Poggio Antico's 1988 has tamed the vintage's toughness, producing a decadent, hedonistic Brunello that should drink well now and over the next 12-15 years.
One of Brunello di Montalcino's emerging stars, Poggio Antico continues to produce some impressive Brunellos. 1988, RP94, issue date 1994

So exotic and refined. Such an outstanding example of Sonoma chard. One of the few wineries where I’m on the list and happily purchase. See prior notes for additional details. — a month ago
