A nose with qualities of the northern Rhone. Not your typical "classic" Rioja. Clean and precise nose with great intensity and complexity. The palate is lively and structured with great tension. Focused on just ripened black fruit, pepper, flowers, coffee and stoniness. Well balanced and a nice finish. This will be fun to see in 10 years. — 11 days ago
Deep with raspberry, cherry, vanilla, chocolate, since it was oaked. Smooth, very light tannins, and will do with a variety of dishes. — 4 days ago
Definitely have been on a Tempranillo Journey lately and this grape has a lot to offer. This was a well made Tempranillo. Plums, mix of red and dark cherries, raspberries and hints of chocolate. Youthful tannin that should integrate well in the future. Would store for a few years before re-exploring.

Mezcla tina, or “Red Blend”
Syrah dominant, a helluva barnyard nose!
Heavier bodied, with bits of blueberry and apple skins, some sweet grass, tobacco, aged perfectly, (I got lucky), with the tannins complementing the star fruit acidity.
50% Syrah, 14% Petite Syrah, 26% Garnacha, 10% Petit Verdot.
This is the first red wine I have had from this area, usually known for Pisco production. — 25 days ago
What’s not to love about high elevation, old vine garnacha! Dark purple with an opaque rim. The nose was bright and brimming with minerals, earth and Asian spices. Tons of fruit runs from tip to stern; dominated by black cherry lavender and brambley spices. Great depth and grip! — 6 days ago
