Peppery, herbal, big. Reminds of a good non Rhône Syrah. Exiting wine. Should improve over the years. — 8 years ago

Fun and aromatic! Ginger! — 4 years ago
This was a very pleasant surprise, versatile red that can probably pair well with many casual weeknight dinners. Not too fruity, not overly complex. Just overall pleasing. — 6 years ago
Great blend - one of my favorite dry blends for the price — 8 years ago
Went to a tasting and they were featuring Chalk Hill, winery now owned by Bill Foley, of Foley Family Wines, who continues the traditions that Fred Furth, who founded CH in 1972. Had this ‘16 about a year ago. Rich deep straw color with aromas of stone and tropical fruits and citrus notes. On the palate ripe apple, sweet melon and lemon flavors with gentle vanilla toasty oak. Well balanced on lingering finish ending with oak and mineral notes. Aged well. Tasting Sample. — 8 years ago
Opened up and smoothed our. Rustic and hot, just the way I like it. — 8 years ago
For the first year this label is 100% Mantonico
Indeed i am truly loving this local variety
It grows often quite high uphill, even 5-600 metres over sea level
It results a bit aromatic, quite fullish to be a wine that is kind of considered a entry level wine
I guess it stays on the lees for a bit
However the result is delicious, quite mineral, very easy drinking and persistent
I am very curious to see how this could age for a couple of years
Btw i paid it 7.50 euros🤫🤫🤫 — 3 years ago
Had it with Chinese food, delicious — 5 years ago

A bit of a confused blend, quite Italian too — 7 years ago
A special treat from @Bill Bender ! White flowers on the nose, more of a chard profile mid with butter and a bit of oak. No sharp edges anywhere. Lovely just like the company — 8 years ago
