A delightful Hungarian red with a bit of body. April 2026. — 3 months ago
First!!! Big surprise thanks to our friends at Taste Hungary. Very well balanced Bulls Blood. Can’t wait to sample the rest. — 6 years ago
Very interesting Red Blend from Hungary. I generally love the Zweigelt varietal, but it is surprisingly not the cornerstone of this wine. (Thirteen different varietals (must include three) can be blended to make Egri Bikavér).
Aromas and flavors of Cranberries, Raspberries and peppery spice. Light color and body. Short on the finish but very pleasant. Thank you Ron B. Revisited in June 2021. Aging beautifully! — 6 years ago
Bulls blood. What could have been a wild behemoth has been tamed: this one has benefited from age. Full bodied, fruit forward but tamed by earth, ash, and seared meat. — 7 years ago

“Tastes good to me!” - Jack Cole, Sideways
Also pairs excellently with pierogies. — 6 months ago
Deep ruby red. Upon opening nose has dark berries, cherry and blueberry jam. When wine opens up the nose picks up more deeper tones. On palate this is midweight, with nicely balanced acidity, full of sour cherry, granberries, blueberries, black currants, powdery if firm tannins giving shape towards the end. Wine leaves granberry, cherry and some peppery tones on medium+ aftertaste. This is medium bodied well made and food friendly wine that clearly benefits from few more years in the bottle to develop complexity. Good stuff — 6 years ago
Quite spicy and long. Blackcurrant. Balanced. — 7 years ago
Spicy with black fruits and a decent length. Fresh — 7 years ago

Off juicy, spicy, playful, really a fun wine. Kekfrankos brings the funk and the international varietals make this a finisher. Egri Bikavér has it going on! #bullsblood — 8 years ago
