Belated post from Mother’s Day dinner. This was in full splendor at 20 years old. It was ready and had many secondary notes intertwined with primary flavors of rose petals, leather, wood shavings, yes the tar was there but not as pronounced as I have found in younger Barolos from Conterno. A gem found in the cellar that I’m glad I didn’t wait another day to open. — 3 days ago
Pale straw yellow color with aromas of stone fruit, citrus and floral perfumed notes. On the palate flavors of apple and citrus with herb floral spice. Good acidity, balance and structure, medium+ finish ending with mineral character. Very Nice! — 21 days ago
Cult winery from Sicily. But the guy is Belgian. Orange wine I think - So flavorful, apples, stone-fruit, honey and most of all a ton of JASMINE. I love it. But not everyone’s cup of tea. — a month ago
Medium lemon color with aromas of stone and citrus fruits with floral blossoms. On the palate flavors of ripe apple, apricot and lemon zest, crisp acidity, long finish ending with wet stone minerality. Can benefit from short-term aging, Nice! — 21 days ago
If it’s on the list and the price is right an automatic buy. Wonderful combo of stone fruit and citrus connected by zippy acidity. A wine that always does a Slow Foxtrot in my mouth. Will certainly gain complexity with time. — a month ago
