Unripe peach, maybe a little melon, nice minerality, good with arugula! — 2 months ago
— 4 months ago
My first carricante. Floral citrus nose, pale yellow, complex minerality with a perfect sour/sweet finish. Thanks, Costco. This is a top-drawer white. — 6 months ago
Mineral and blossoms. Lovely and different — a month ago
2023 vintage.
Garganaga 70 % with remaining 30 % of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
From a combination of volcanic tuff and limestone soils. Aged 6 months in stainless steel before bottling.
Pale gold in colour.
Citrus, lemon zest, nutty and herbal aroma.
Yellow plum, white peach and tarragon with grassy and herbal flavours.
Juicy finish with a pleasant pinch of minerality. — 2 months ago
Had high hopes as this wine/vintage was an absolute stunner 7-8 years ago when I last had a bottle but this one was a bit shagged (as my newly minted MW friend likes to say). Hoping it’s just this bottle, but maybe it’s peak has long past. Slightly maderized and very little fruit left. Thin. — 2 months ago
2021 vintage. Last tasted 1.9.25 (9.3). Did indeed pick up extra for the resto and down to 1-2 bottles left. PNP. Still beyond solid for the price. It you find this vintage retail and it is $50 or below, you'd better pick it up or I'll call the federales/gendarmes/polizia/po po myself. — 3 months ago
Fabulous white Lange from Novello — 4 months ago
Solid Italian option and Kurt rec. would try again. Light and acidic but not too much. Grassier than citrus. — 2 months ago

Lemon curd and medium mouthfeel. Nice acidity! — 2 months ago
One of the best langhe nebbiolos I’ve had recently, especially for a relatively reasonable price on the list at Leon’s. And a great pairing with pork braciole as well. Lots of fruit, but still quite refined, with great texture and acid. Quite pretty and delicious. — 4 months ago
Paired beautifully with Fruits de terre at Rijks restaurant, Amsterdam — 5 months ago
Paolo Bea dinner at Semo. All wines were prepared by opening and slow-ox, prior to service. Abbreviated notes due to the setting. The The 2020 Santa Chiara appears a deep orange color with notes of marmalade, apricot, flowers, and varnish (VA). The palate shows low+ tannin and decent acid. Tasty, complex stuff as usual. A lovely pairing with gougère of prosciutto, green olive and honey. Drink now through 2030-ish. Bottle No. 2814/5940 — 5 months ago

Fiorduva 2024. Wine of the fjord. Single vineyard. Golden coloration. On the nose, lemon, salinity, minerals, buttery oak. On the palate, rich and smooth,citrus- lemon, salinity, minerality, long finish with honey balancing the acidity nicely. — a day ago
